A brilliant (and bracing!) day out on the River Lune in January for a few of our Bolton Canoe Club paddlers. Big water, cold air and plenty to work on – exactly what winter coaching should be about.
We started at Kirkby Lonsdale and made our way north, all the way to Devils Bridge.
Huge thanks to Chris Brain for leading the session and keeping us challenged all day. From refining boat control and line choice to building confidence in pushy water, there was loads to take away (along with slightly numb fingers!).
